Starting this Memorial Day 2022,
DAVA has partnered with
Oregon Bottle Drop Redemption Center!
DAV operates a fleet of vehicles around the country to provide free transportation to VA medical facilities for injured and ill veterans. DAV stepped in to help veterans get the care they need when the federal government terminated its program that helped many of them pay for transportation to and from medical facilities. The vans are driven by volunteers, and the rides coordinated by more than 161 Hospital Service Coordinators around the country.
Since the program’s inception in 1987, DAV departments and chapters have donated 3,618 vehicles and Ford Motor Co. has donated 248 vehicles at a cost of nearly $91 million.
To find out whether there is a van near you use the DAV Hospital Service Coordinator Directory to contact your nearest HSC for information or assistance. Please remember that the DAV Transportation Network is staffed by volunteers; therefore, it is unable to cover every community. We hope we can help you. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver, contact your DAV HSC today to sign up!
Our programs wouldn't be possible without community partners and donors like you!
We need your help to save the environment, one can at a time! While also donating to a great cause!
Please contact us, and we will ship a bag to you or you can pick them up. Our volunteers work hard to serve our nations veterans and we wanted you to be apart of our mission too.
We will also pick up your charity blue bags to help us complete this mission. Just give us a call!
