DAV provides no cost help for veterans and their families, with claims assistance, free rides to medical appointments, employment assistance, energy assistance, and finding services for homeless veterans. DAV offers everyone opportunities to volunteer to help veterans in need across the nation and throughout the state.

Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Online Application
Federal AND State Benefits FOR Veterans & their Families!
VA Compensation & Pension
Monthly payment for service-incurred or service-connect disabilities due to military service. Also assistance for those 65 and older who needed non-service aggravated disabilities related to pension benefits.
VA Pension
These monthly benefits are based on rates offset by other income like social security, for disabilities not incurred in service that are permanent and total in nature.
Dependents’ Medical Benefits for 100% P&T Veterans!

Special insurance for veterans with service-connected disabilities. Also conversion, beneficiary changes, policy loans, dividends, and new insurance additions. You can learn about what you qualify for under your benefits here!
Home Loans
Guaranteed home loans with low down payments for veterans. Applies also to mobile homes or manufactured homes. There is no deadline for using this benefit. Links are provided below for Veteran friendly mortgage loan officers in your area.
Hospital Care and Home Health Services
VA Healthcare and Community Care is available for veterans with service-connected disabilities and available to veterans with non service-connected conditions.
Housebound and Aid and Attendance Compensation
Special additional benefits are available for seriously disabled veterans and those requiring nursing home, foster home or special in-home care services. There is special monthly compensation for certain housebound and aid and attendance is available for those recipients. This is an allowance issued to veterans for their service connected disabilities and mental health related disabilities. This is also available to surviving spouses.
Oregon Veterans Dental Care
Dental visits and emergency dental procedures paid for 100% service-connected veterans. Also for veterans entitled to additional benefits such are vocational rehabilitation and inpatient services at some VAMC locations. Stay tuned for more information about VETSmile coming to soon! ODVA offers a dental program for veterans not 100% service rated.
The Oregon Veteran Dental Program, which expands Oregon Health Plan (OHP) dental services to eligible populations in Oregon. Beginning November 1, 2022, The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) will begin accepting applications for this new program. This new state program comes thanks to House Bill 4095. The Oregon Veteran Dental Program is separate and distinct from VA Dental Care offered by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
